All instructional staff will plan for rich learning opportunities framed around all students initiating and sustaining academic conversations throughout the day. |
Strategy 1 Instructional staff will build relationships with and among students throughout the year to foster a safe learning environment that promotes discourse. Strategy 2 Instructional staff will implement common language and anchor charts that state our school-wide expectations for student engagement in academic conversations. Strategy 3 Instructional staff will participate in and utilize peer feedback focused on academic conversations. |
All instructional staff will consistently create, collect, use & analyze various data sources to provide specific & meaningful feedback for instruction and student learning. |
Strategy 1 Instructional staff will create & analyze appropriate formative assessments linked to specific rigorous content learning goals throughout units of study. Strategy 2 Instructional staff will use analysis of formative assessments to design & revise rigorous instruction and provide feedback to students. Strategy 3 Instructional staff will participate in and utilize peer observations and feedback as a method for data collection and professional growth. Strategy 4 Instructional staff will utilize Woodley Hills Collaborative Parent Teacher Teams to increase parent involvement in student academic growth. |

Strategy 1 Instructional staff will create and share positive/ growth mindset statements to be used throughout the school environment. Strategy 2 Instructional staff will identify and draw connections among character education, PBIS, and growth mindset during lessons. Strategy 3 Instructional staff will model and teach students how to demonstrate and internalize character education & growth mindset. Strategy 4 Instructional staff will utilize Woodley Hills Collaborative Parent Teacher Teams to increase parent involvement in student academic growth. |
