Woodley Hills Elementary School is located in the historic Mount Vernon community, which is a short distance away from Mount Vernon (the former home of George Washington); Grist Mill, Ft. Belvoir Army Base, and Huntley Meadows Park.

Woodley Hills ES is one of six elementary schools that feed students to Mount Vernon High School within the Mount Vernon Pyramid. After completing the sixth grade at Woodley Hills, students feed to Walt Whitman Middle School and then from there they move on to Mount Vernon High School.

Woodley Hills is close to awesome neighborhoods, great shopping, county government buildings, the National Harbor and the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. The school and community are located near Richmond Highway in Alexandria, Virginia.
