PBIS Environment at Woodley Hills
Our school has developed a positive behavior environment based on guidelines and training using Positive Behavior Support *(PBIS). Our school is committed to the academic achievement of each child through the development of moral character and by ensuring a positive learning environment for students, families, and faculty. We achieve these goals through positive reinforcement and clear and consistent expectations of learning and behavior. Woodley Hills has established the following school-wide rules.
I respect myself, others and property.
I care for and trust my Woodley Hills family.
I am Hardworking
I am responsible for my actions.
When the students demonstrate these rules, we acknowledge them in many ways, including:
- Recognizing positive behavior of individuals with Beaver Tickets
- Earning Beaver Tickets in the cafeteria for exemplary class behavior
- Students are recognized for consistently displaying good character with either student of the month certificates or character buttons
In the event a student experiences behavioral difficulties and is not abiding by the three rules, teachers will follow a school-wide discipline plan.
